Virtual POS

What is Virtual POS?

One of the keys to electronic commerce is the system called "Virtual POS". Virtual POS comes into play when it comes to payment via the web. Virtual POS -VPOS (Virtual point of sale) is the form of POS (Point of sale-payment point) devices and systems that we use in classical shopping, which allows shopping through websites. In short, we can call it POS adapted to the Internet.

How Does Virtual POS Work?
Simply, an online payment system and infrastructure are established between the Virtual POS and the buyer-seller or seller-supplier. The system is basically based on the transfer of the money, which is the cost of the product or service, from the bank and credit institution's account of the buyer, who enters his information on the company's website, to the company's own bank account.

It is extremely easy to switch to the VPOS application, which is software that enables the company to conduct e-commerce through its own website. For this, it is sufficient for the company to sign member workplace and e-commerce agreements with the bank with which it opens a commercial account, and then to define the passwords given by the bank to the Workcube Virtual Pos system.

How is security ensured?
In order to ensure the security of the information transferred over the internet in VPOS, data transfer is carried out using the SSL 128 Bit security method, which is still known as the most secure method. It receives the credit card information and the collection amount from the system where the e-shop is located and transmits it to the relevant bank's system over the internet using the SSL 128 Bit security method. Banks are looking for SSL 128-bit encryption requirement on their websites where they will provide virtual POS services.

Benefits of using Virtual POS

  • It provides an increase in retail (B2C- company to customer) sales.
