Seniority-Leave-Notice Burden Report
Seniority-Leave-Notice Burden Report is a very important financial and personnel management tool prepared especially for the Human Resources and Finance departments of a company, which calculates and summarizes the company's potential costs (liabilities) that may occur in the future towards its current employees.
Path: BI-Report > Standard Reports > HR - HR Reports > Personnel. Payroll
What is a report and what purpose does it serve?
- Leave Load: It is the monetary equivalent of the annual paid leave days that employees have earned from the current year or previous years but have not yet used.
In case the employee leaves the job (resignation, termination, etc.), the company ends the payment for these unused leave days. He must pay it with his salary. This section shows the company's short-term cash outflow and potential short-term debt in its financial statements. - Severance Pay Burden: It is the sum of the severance pay amount accumulated so far for each employee who will leave the job under certain conditions (retirement, military service, employer termination, etc.).
This amount is one of the company's largest potential financial liabilities. The report shows how prepared the company should be for this burden and helps with long-term financial planning. The calculation is generally made based on the gross salary and seniority period of each employee. - Notice Burden: It is the total compensation that the company will have to pay if it dismisses an employee without a specific reason (without a valid reason for termination) and does not comply with the legal notice period.
This liability arises in terminations made without complying with the periods specified in the Labor Law (2-8 weeks depending on seniority). This report supports risk management by calculating the cost that will occur if the company makes sudden and unlawful dismissals.
