Accounting Books
Accounting books are the books in which all accounting transactions are recorded within a financial year. Ledgers are also legal documents. Books are documents used as evidence in financial audit, judicial and administrative judicial processes. The ledgers must be kept for five years, depending on the legislation changes depending on the country.
Nowadays, the ledgers can be used on paper as well as stored electronically. The standards at which taxpayers must keep and keep books are determined by the legislation. In order to keep and store records electronically, e-archive and e-ledger integration should be made. The WEX platform in W3 was developed for electronic bookkeeping and storage.
Note: E-Archive integration also includes the e-invoice application. Please review the ERP/SD/Invoice module.
Tip: The contract description, contract type, contract date and contract number information of your CPA/CPA or CPA who keeps the books for your business must be shown in the book. However, if the book is kept by an employee within your business, the contract description, contract type, contract date and contract number must be entered using the dash (-) character. Otherwise, if these fields are left blank, the book creation process will not take place as it will be stuck in the controls during book creation.
Hint: If you are going to use a different document type other than the standard document types determined by the Revenue Administration, you must mark the other option of this document type and enter its definition without using abbreviations in the description field. If these definitions are not made, you will receive a warning when creating the ledger that the ledger does not contain standard document types and you will not be able to create your electronic ledger.
Hint: Each record in electronic ledgers must have a document type and payment method. However, what is important here is whether there is a printed document of the transaction that forms the basis of the accounting record. If there is no printed document, the document type and payment method should never be entered.
Attention When you want to create an electronic ledger for a new month, the previous ledger must be at the archived stage. Otherwise, the electronic book for the new book period cannot be created. |
Recommendation In order to re-create the problematic book, you must apply to the Revenue Administration for cancellation of the book. However, when the ledger is canceled, you can delete the problematic ledger and create a new ledger. |
