Alternative Product Variation Product Tree
When the tree is created according to the matched "Alternative Products" variations, the stocks in the resulting trees change according to the variations. The aim here is to create product trees related to the main product with stocks that vary according to their variations.
Path: ERP > Production > Production Design > Alternative Product Questions
Path: ERP > Product and Stocks > Products > Product Detail
Path: ERP > Product and Stocks > Model
When the components of the product are added, alternative products are added to the product depending on the alternative questions. Added alternative products are matched with variations of features that have been added to the product. When a tree is created based on the matched "Alternative Products" variations, the stocks in the trees will change according to their variations. The purpose here is to create product trees related to the main product with stocks varying according to their variations.
Stages;
- The "Alternative Question" is selected for the component whose feature we want to change in the product tree.
Attention: By going to the alternative product questions page, the update screen of the question we added is displayed. The feature should be selected for the question. This feature should be one of the features added to the product. The feature that is desired to change in the stock of the added component is selected.

For example: If the color of the fabric stock needs to change in the variation tree, the "Color" feature added to the product and found in the product properties should be selected. The reason for this is that the stock must change according to the variation feature.
- If a question is defined in the product tree, there will be an "Alternative Products" icon next to the stocks. By clicking on this icon, alternative products are added to the product. The added question also appears as a column in the table. Below the column come variations of the added feature.
- Variations are selected for the added alternative products.

- Stocks are created according to the measurement and distribution table on the "Measurement and Distribution Table" page created for the product. When you go to the product tree page, the stocks created in the stocks box appear. These stocks do not currently have a tree. When you click on any variation, the variation and the product are matched on the "Stock Code" page that opens.

- When the product tree is created according to the variants, the alternative product and its features are automatically added to the product. The alternative product selected according to the variation comes to the tree as stock.
- A product e.g. The same color fabric cannot be used in the red, blue and white version. For this reason, product trees are customized according to these process sequences and variations.
Feedback
2.3.1.4. Product Tree Design
The product tree is the basic input of Production Planning. Thanks to these schemes, information on the required quantities and supply times of the materials to be used in the production of the product is kept, and information is obtained on how long it will take to supply the product before it is produced.
2.3.1.8. Spec Management with Alternative Questions
Workcube allows its users to carry out their production by creating multiple variations in their product trees without opening a new product or stock card. With Workcube's spec approach, an unlimited number of trees can be easily created for each product. Thanks to Spec, there is no need to create product trees from scratch again and again for each different type of products.
