What is Design Block?
Design Block can essentially be thought of as a box that can be used in any desired area of the page design. It will be created using the existing editor in the Design Block structure; A block can be created with specially designed content, images and titles. The block produced can be used in any region on the page or menus on the site. If necessary, it can be used on more than one page of the site. It is also possible to use a produced block by making small changes in its design. Design Block offers flexibility in design and the opportunity to use a design more than once.
How to Create a Design Block?
When you click on the Protein site creation plugin via Workcube, you can reach the page shown in the image below. From here, proceed by selecting Design Block.

Then, you reach the page where the previously created blocks are listed and the new block creation visual is displayed. The designs created here can be found by searching by name or edited by selecting them from the list. For a new design, block design is started by using the "Create Design Block" option as shown in the image.

On the block design page; Title, author and content editor are available. For each block; A block is created by adding and saving the block name, author and content. Contents, titles, images, etc. to be used within the page can be added using the Block Editor. Again, the codes of designs created in different code environments can be saved by clicking View>Source code from the available tabs on the Editor and placing them in the opened box. The design created in this way will appear on the Editor. Additionally, each design can be viewed with View>Preview.

A previously created design can be updated by clicking on it and making changes to it. With the "World" icon at the top right of this page, we can access sites created on protein whose design we can use as a shortcut. You can also access the "Design Block" page as a shortcut with the "Brush" icon.
Design Block Usage
Go to the management page of a site by clicking Protein > Sites > Site domain name. From the pages under the Pages box, the page to which you want to add a block is selected and the Designer area in the visual is accessed. In whichever part of the page the Block wants to be used, Design Block is selected under Widgets and placed by drag and drop method.

At this stage, the screen shown in the image will appear. In this area, blocks that were previously designed and created by following the steps explained above will be listed. The desired block can be selected and used on the page. Additionally, a new block can be created by selecting a new block design option in this area. The selected or newly created block will then be displayed on the Design Block Widget as shown in the image.

Attention: There is an important feature to pay attention to here. The block selected in this area is added to the page by copying it from the Design Block List. At this stage, the change in the selected block design is limited only to the block used in this widget and does not affect the main block in the General Design Block List. This feature gives additional flexibility to the Design Block structure.
Using Design Block in the Menu
We talked about the use of Design Block in the page structure above. Blocks produced in a similar way can also be used in the menu structure. There are menus created under the Menu Definations box on the site management page. More in-page links can be provided by adding submenus to these menus. Blocks can also be added to these structures defined as drop-down menus. The images below show the use of Design block on a menu submenus design page and its view on the page.

In summary, Design Block is a structure that should be preferred for specially designed objects on pages and menus, structures to be used in more than one area, and interesting highlighting articles that do not consist of long content. Ease, quickness and flexibility in design are among its biggest advantages.
