Lot-Based Product Life Cycle
Lot-based product life cycle is a management approach applied especially to manufacturing sectors that engage in mass production and track their products by batch (lot) number. This approach aims to monitor and manage the production, stocking, distribution and sales processes of a product over a specific production batch (lot) rather than individual products. Lot-based product life cycle ensures that all retrospective movements of the produced products can be tracked on a single page, along with the lot numbers of all raw materials and semi-finished products consumed.
Path:ERP > Production > Production Planning > Lot-Based Product Life Cycle
For an effective and sustainable production, the life cycle of the products must be traceable. The traceability of the process necessitates lot-based movements in all transactions. In order for the Lot Based Product Life Cycle business function to work, lot information must be entered for the product being produced and the raw materials and semi-finished products it contains. In addition, in order for the delivery note information to appear in the related documents field, lot information must be entered in the delivery note basket line. For products, lot tracking must be selected in the product detail, and lot fields must be opened in the basket settings in the documents where the transactions will be entered.

- Lot Number: When searching by entering the lot number, it is for all raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products where the relevant lot number is used. It brings the production results and consumption slips, and it is also possible to view the related documents, if any, in this area.
- Sorting Type: Sorting by selecting one of the following: Ascending by Product Name/Descending by Product Name/Ascending by Production Result Date/Descending by Production Result Date/Ascending by Lot Number/Descending by Lot Number. are listed.
- For the example above, a search was made for the ULN-17 lot number in the Lot No field.
- ULN-17 lot number was used in 3 production results (US-77, US-78, US-79)
- If the Production Result depends on the delivery note and invoice, delivery notes, stock in the Related documents field Vouchers and delivery notes related to the invoice come with links and you can go to the relevant documents on the page.
- If the lot number of the product is the same, the consumption voucher of the same raw material or semi-finished product appears in the production orders it is related to. The consumption voucher from which the product was consumed is indicated in green.
