Google Workspace and Coldfusion Server SMTP Settings
Necessary SMTP settings must be made in order to use an e-mail on Google Workspace with Coldfusion Server. Before starting, 3 different settings need to be configured on the Google side.
Settings to be made with Workspace Super Admin - Admin- User
Google Admin Console (admin.google.com)
- Applications > Workspace > Gmail > Forwarding > SMTP Relay Service settings must be configured. (Images below respectively).

- If SMTP Relay Service has not been configured before CONFIGURE click on the button and enter information as below. After configuration, it will look like the images below.
- The IP address to be defined must belong to the machine to be logged out (the machine where the coldfusion server is installed).
- For the e-mail account to be used, "2-Step Verification" must be enabled under the Security heading at https://myaccount.google.com/.
- A new App password must be created in the App passwords tab under 2-Step Verification.
- After giving a name to the application password, the created password will appear on the screen. The password must be copied at that time,you cannot redisplay the password.
- If there is a problem, the old password can be deleted and a new password can be created.
After these operations, the settings should be made as follows in the Coldfusion Admin panel and the Application password you have created should be entered in the password field.
Attention!: The password of the e-mail should not be used.
After confirmation by pressing the Submit Changes button, if there is no error in the transactions, the steps to be taken will be completed.
After these operations, SMTP settings will be completed and ready for use.
