How to Prepare a Material and Labor Requirement Plan with Tekla Structures?
Purpose of the study: Exchanging data by providing integrity between the Tekla Structural program and Workcube. Transferring the information by matching the building element quantity lists of the structures created in the Tekla Structural program with the columns in the Workcube Project Material and Labor Plan lists.
Tekla Structures
Tekla Structures program is a 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) software used in the construction and building industry, especially for steel construction and reinforced concrete projects, offering a great deal of detailing opportunity in projects. Tekla Structures guides users in creating and managing concrete or steel 3D structural models, from the concept stage to manufacturing.
Tekla Structures Building Element Bills of Quantities
Tekla Structures program provides us with the convenience of creating building element survey and bill of quantities of the project we have created and transferring them to the Excel program. We can follow the steps below when creating and exporting lists.
First of all, we must select which building element we will create the list for.
Click on the Manage > Organizer tab from the headings at the top and view the tables here.
In the Organizer tab, we can select the table we created in accordance with the properties of the building elements.
Export to export the created lists. We can export it as an Excel table by clicking on the tab and clicking on the export tab again.
We can divide the tables into 6 sections according to their features.
- BOLT QUANTITY LIST
- REBAR QUANTITY LIST
- WELD QUANTITY LIST
- MANSORY CONCRETE UNIT QUANTITY LIST
- PROFILE - STEEL COLUMN - STEEL BEAM – PLATE
- FOOTING - CONCRETE COLUMN - SLAB
The columns of the prepared lists are imported into the project material and labor plan in Workcube.
Before import, product categories and products must be defined in the Workcube product management modules.
Unmatched products are imported to the undefined product ID in the
