e-Invoice
e-Invoice is an electronic document whose data format and standards are determined by the Revenue Administration, which contains the information required to be included in an invoice in accordance with the Tax Procedure Law, and where the communication between the seller and the buyer is carried out through the central Revenue Administration.
E-Invoice, which was implemented in Turkey with the TPL communiqué numbered 397 and has been in effect since March 5, 2010, is an electronic document whose data format and standard is determined by the GIB, which contains the information that must be included in an invoice in accordance with the TPL, and where the communication between the seller and the buyer is carried out through a central platform (GIB).
The e-Invoice document included in the Tax Procedure Law General Communiqué No. 509 is not a new document type, and has the same qualifications as the paper "invoice" document. Taxpayers registered to the e-Invoice application are obliged to send and receive the invoices they issue to each other as e-Invoices for the goods they sell and the services they perform.
Methods for Utilizing e-Invoice What are they?

Portal
e-Invoice portal method is an e-Invoice application service offered free of charge by GIB on the website "www.efatura.gov.tr". Taxpayers can send and receive e-Invoices by logging into the e-Invoice portal.
With this method, you can create your invoices manually through the Revenue Administration portal, or you can create them in your own information processing system in the format determined by the presidency and upload them to your portal account.

Integration
Integration of the Information Technology System Method, by integrating their own information processing system into the presidency's system. It was developed for the use of taxpayers who can provide uninterrupted connection 24/7.
With the integration to be created in this way, e-Invoices in the taxpayer's systems are automatically transmitted to the Revenue Administration and the invoices to be sent to the taxpayer are automatically transferred to the taxpayer system by the Revenue Administration.

Special Integration
Taxpayers whose billing needs vary or who issue multiple invoices are provided with the opportunity to receive and send electronic invoices through the data processing system of a technically competent private integrator. The e-Invoices created by the system used by the taxpayer are transmitted to the private integration company, and the private integration company transfers these invoices to the Revenue Administration.
With a similar setup for incoming e-Invoices, the invoices delivered to the private integration firm by the Revenue Administration are delivered to the taxpayer system by the private integration firm.
