Accounting Period Opening Slip
Working periods are created every year in Workcube depending on the fiscal years. At the end of the study period, a new study period opens. There are procedures that need to be done to transition between periods. Workcube creates new period data based on old period data.
The working period you are using should be closed at the end of the year and a new period should be created in the new year. Customer, Company, Product Information and Other definitions, Current Customer - Company balances and Stock Remaining quantities are transferred to the new period created. In this way, the transactions made in the past year are checked and a new start is made in the new year.
For the New Period Opening Slip, Path: System > System Management > Period and Maintenance Transactions > Opening Slip

- Accounting Period: The company to be opened and the accounting period for the company are selected. Attention: For selection, your company's accounting period record for that period must be defined. For more detailed information, you can read our article titled "Accounting Period".
- Transaction Type: Selection is made for which transaction type the Opening Slip will be opened. Collection, Disbursement, Offsetting etc.
- Accounting Code: The accounting code of the opened voucher is selected. If you want to create an opening voucher according to the selected accounting range, the accounting account range must be selected.
- Transfer from File: This is the area where the file prepared in accordance with the format on the right side of the screen is transferred to the system.
By checking the options at the bottom of the screen, the opening process is completed according to the desired criteria.
Update the Created Opening Slip: A new one before the period closes. The opening slip is transferred at the beginning of the year. However, data from the previous year is still arriving and being processed. With this option, the voucher opened will be re-transferred according to the current status and the voucher will be updated.
Transfer from Period: It should be selected when data will be retrieved from the previous period rather than from the file. This checkbox should not be selected in the From File option.
Based on Transaction Currency: When accounting transactions occur on the basis of transaction currency, that is, if accounting slips are used in this way, when this option is selected, the data will be transferred on the basis of transaction currency.
Based on Branch and Department: If accounting slips are kept on the basis of branch and department, they should be transferred to the new period with this option.
Project Based: If accounting slips are created and used on a project basis, this option must also be selected during transfer. When transferred without selecting this option, the project data kept in the previous period will not be seen in the transfer in the new period.
Type: Accounting period opening voucher can be recreated if desired.

Period Transactions
Transactions performed on Workcube are defined according to the period in which they occur. When switching to a new working period, a new period is defined for the relevant function so that the functions can run. Or the period operation is completed by transferring the data from the current period to the new period.
Accounting Period
Accounting Period is the period between the start and completion of the accounting process.

At the end of each fiscal year, a new fiscal year is opened. The old period is closed and the new period is started.
