Product Feature Definitions and Variation Management
With variation management, each variation of the product is tracked through different stock codes. In addition, by creating specs based on variations, management of areas such as spec-based stock and production tracking is ensured. In addition, many functions such as taking orders according to product features and variations in sales orders proceed through these definitions.
Product feature definitions are used to define different features and variations (color, size, odor, etc.) about products.
Path: ERP > Sales-Distribution > Product and Stocks > Product Features
Product Feature Definitions
- Status: If you want the feature to be used actively, the "Active" box is checked. If this box is not checked, the recorded feature cannot be displayed in transactions (buying/selling) with the product.
- Feature: The general name of the feature to be added is written. For example; Fabric Color, Size, Processor Type, etc.
- Special Code: If there is a special code for the feature to be added, it is defined in this field.
- Description: It can be written in which products the feature will be used mostly. In this way, features and variations defined for a specific product are prevented from being used for other products. Or, if the product is offered for sale on the website, the product feature description can also be shown.
- Size/Color: If the defined feature is related to size, color and height, these boxes are selected. Different pricing may be made depending on these boxes.
- Cart Check: When this box is checked, different variations of the product with the "Cart Check" feature sold on the partner portal cannot be added to the same shopping cart. For example; Considering that the Turkish and English versions of the same product are offered for sale separately; Although these products have the same features, they cannot be added to the same shopping cart because their variations are different.
- Show on Web: When this box is checked, the product will be displayed on the websites designed by Workcube.
- Related Companies: Select from the "Related Companies" field to indicate which companies the defined features are related to. Thus, companies using the same feature and variation do not need to define it repeatedly.
Note:If you want to display the Size and Color boxes on the product features new registration page, go to the XML settings of the page and select "Should Size-Color Fields be Shown?" "Yes".
After the definition is made, variations are added to this feature. To add a variation to a feature, go to the "Product Features" list page and click on the edit icon next to the relevant feature. Variation definitions can be made on the popup page that opens after clicking the edit icon. The color variations required for the feature defined as Fabric Color are created as in the example.
