Project Planning and Preparation
Enterprise business software deployment projects are multi-dimensional projects by nature. Often, change management is carried out simultaneously while implementation is carried out. In these projects, businesses aim to improve their business practices and processes. With this change, many challenges arise, such as new procedures and organizational renewal. On the other hand, implementation triggers technical improvement in the IT infrastructure. As life goes on, competitive conditions change, laws change, technologies change and businesses try to cope with this change. Depending on the business practices of the enterprise, the software also gets its share of change. In other words, implementation and software improvements unfortunately never end. This is a natural situation nowadays. In the digital economy, digital activities are an area that must continue uninterrupted, just like logistics, sales, marketing and production.

Workcube implementation process covers all processes from the day the customer first contacts Workcube to the lifelong usage cycle.
In reality, process improvement and, accordingly, digital activities never end. Each digital leap should be described as a project. Projects whose beginning and end are not well defined, open-ended, and where they will end are not determined, pose major problems. This is a paradox. Your project should have a clear end and continue continuously. Business; It should aim for continuous perfection and brand new development projects should be put forward depending on these goals.
Workcube aims to increase the competitive power of the business by making digital transformation as “Holistic-Holistic”. The goal is single and eternal; “Increasing competitiveness”. However, you cannot achieve this goal with a single project. In order to reach the final and eternal goal, you must divide the goal into stages and determine intermediate stops. You should design projects for each target and intermediate stops and evaluate the project at intermediate stops.
Determine the Paradigm of the Project.
Paradigm in its simplest form; It reveals what and how we perceive, what we adopt or not, and our perspective on events and issues. In a way, it is the soul of the project. You must build a paradigm to add soul to your project.
The project, whose goal and performance criteria are determined, is easily managed.
Project goals should be clear and understandable. What is the destination at the end of the project? You must put it clearly. To understand whether the goals are achieved or not, you must determine the success criteria. How will your success be measured at the end of the project? If you determine the indicators from the beginning, you can easily measure the project results.
Recommendation
Before you start planning the project, you should examine the “strategic framework” study.
Compare Assessment , QPIC-RS and Time-Value Matrix
Three documents should be checked while preparing the project plan. Changes may affect project scope and duration. In this case, the project budget may change. If you think such a situation has occurred, you must inform the project sponsor and other managers.
During the Workcube sales process, businesses are subject to preliminary examination. W3 Assessment methodology is applied in the preliminary review. W3 Assessment is in question and answer format. Just as an expert Workcube consultant can answer these questions, businesses can also determine their needs by answering these questions themselves. The assessment document reveals how Workcube will be applied to the business and how the business way of doing business will be implemented.
The first version of QPIC-RS is made within the scope of the "Strategic Framework". When the project starts, the QPIC-RS matrix needs to be checked and updated if necessary. On the other hand, the "Time-Value Matrix" is prepared within the scope of the Digital Transformation Road Map. Priorities may change during the project planning phase. Project milestones and order can be rearranged.
Attention
Before you start planning the project, review the "W3 Assessment" study conducted during the sales phase. If it hasn't been done, definitely do it. This exercise will help you in determining the scope.
Recommendation
Often the planning phase is neglected. Remember that poorly planned projects have a low success rate. Don't hesitate to spend the necessary preparations and time on the project plan. This will make you more successful and achieve the project goals more easily.
Project Scope
The scope of the Workcube license and the scope of the implementation project are not always the same. Project scope Which sections, modules and functions of Workcube will be implemented? is the answer to the question. Projects cannot be finalized without determining the project scope. The following matrix helps you establish the project scope.
Tasks | Time Consumption Man/Day | ||||||
Module | Function on | Note | AD [1 17] | VÇ | G | [13 2]T | ED |

If sectoral or strategic consultancy services will be provided within the scope of the project, you should determine what these services will be. You should anticipate Adaptation, Development and Strategic Consultancy service periods.

Attention
The project scope is also a reference document where you can check the project progress and completion stages. In a sense, the scope document is a commitment given to the customer.
