Issued Exchange Rate Difference Invoice


In case of a currency difference between the invoice and the payment date, when the payment date of the previously issued invoices comes, the amount resulting from this difference is invoiced, if there is a currency difference in favor of whichever party. This invoice is called “Issued Exchange Rate Difference Invoice”.

What to Consider?

  • If “Accounting Transaction” is not checked in the transaction category, the warning “No accounting transaction is performed for the selected transaction” is displayed in the accounting transactions.
  • If the invoice amount is 0, even if "Accounting Transaction" is selected in the transaction category selected for the invoice, transactions with a value of 0 do not make accounting transactions.
  • Currency Difference product should be defined in the system and "Foreign Exchange Gains" account should be selected in the accounting sales account code of this product.
  • "Exchange Rate Difference To Be Issued" should be entered in the unit price section of the added product in the basket.
  • Payment Method must be selected. Otherwise, payment performances cannot be monitored.
  • The 2nd currency of the row must be entered, otherwise, the report cannot be obtained according to the transaction currency.


“Issued Exchange Rate Difference Invoice” is selected from the “Transaction Type” section on the Sales Invoice new registration screen, and the transaction is recorded after filling in other necessary information.
There is the "Accounting Transactions" icon on the upper right of the details of the resulting sales invoice. You can view the offsetting receipt of your invoice by clicking this icon.

How are Issued Exchange Rate Difference Invoice accounting records created?

For Issued Exchange Rate Difference invoices, “Exchange Rate Difference” product is defined in the system.

Invoices create accounting receipts both according to the criteria selected in the transaction category and according to the criteria selected in the document. Therefore, you should first make the settings in your accounting receipt through the transaction type.
