Inventory Strategies

Inventory strategies are the part that follows the inventory changes of the product, provides control, and plans the inventory amounts.

Route: ERP > Sales-Distribution > Inventories > Inventory Detail

Proper management of inventory strategies provides many advantages in purchasing and sales processes. In order to make correct inventory management, each product-specific inventory strategy should be defined.

Strategy Type: It is used to choose whether the duration or the amount is to be used as a basis. Inventory strategies are defined in two ways; According to Lead Time and According to Inventory Quantity. For the inventory strategies to be defined according to the supply period, the expression "Day" must be selected from the Strategy type field, and the expression "Unit" for the inventory strategies to be defined according to the inventory amount.

Maximum Inventory: It is the upper limit amount that the product should have in inventory.

E.g; If there is a limit exceeding this amount on the receipt or invoice, let's assume that we enter 50 in this field. We have 25 of this product in inventory and we are issuing 50 more delivery notes.

You can see this overrun by making a strategy-based listing on the inventories screen.

Minimum Inventory: This is where you need to enter the amount you do not want to fall under. This field will also show the existing and considered quantities on the basis of strategy on the inventory screen and write them at the end of the line as insufficient inventory.

Blocked Stock: This allows the number you entered for the product to be deducted from the sellable stock. So if your sellable stock is 50, if you enter 25 in the blocked stock, your sellable stock will be 25.

Re-Order Point: It is entered based on the lead time when entering the quantity.

E.g; If you type 10 here while the day is selected as the strategy type, the system will warn "Order" close to having 10 days of inventory on hand.

Minimum Order Quantity: The amount specified here will be automatically deducted on the line of each order entered for the product under all circumstances.

Maximum Order Quantity: It is used to specify the maximum order quantity to be placed from the product at once.

Order Type: Continuing order (10-11-12-13...), Order in multiples (5-10-15-20.....)

Supply Time: It is used to specify the average lead time of the product. In inventory strategies defined according to the lead time, the lead time written here is used by the system to determine the inventory statuses (urgent order, order, excess stock, Sufficient Inventory). E.g; If we enter 3 in this field, it means that the product is supplied 3 days after the order is placed.

Notify at Reorder Point: If checked, this information is displayed as a warning on the home page of the purchasing officer. E.g; Let's give the reorder point a value of 25 as the quantity. If the "Products at reorder point" box is checked on the agenda page; When the amount of the inventory drops to 25, the relevant product will be displayed on your home page in the "Products Received" section. If unchecked, only the inventory list appears on a strategy basis.

Sellable Inventory Principles: It is a feature used only in B2C. It is used in tailoring B2C orders.

Warehouse Based Strategy

Inventory strategy can be defined on the basis of warehouse from the inventory detail page.

It is important to define an inventory strategy on a warehouse basis, as each warehouse has different situations such as capacity and lead time.

To define an inventory strategy on a warehouse basis, click the red box icon at the beginning of the relevant product inventory line in the Inventory Strategies section.

Note: In order to see the products in the inventory strategy according to the warehouses, the inventory strategy of the selected warehouse can be seen if the inventory list is selected on the basis of the strategy and the strategy is selected from the filter section of the desired warehouse.

If you list the ERP > Sales-Distribution > Inventories page as follows, you can view your inventory strategies.
