Product Detail and Product General Parameters

Group companies that manage more than one company on Workcube can perform joint product management. In the joint product management, it is possible to make the general settings of the product separately for each company.

Route: ERP > Sales-Distribution > Product & Stocks > Products

On the left side of the product registration screen, there are boxes that determine the behavior and characteristics of the products. On the right, there are fields where the product's identity information is entered.

While adding products to the system, the following operations are performed with the boxes on the left side of the screen;

Status: The active or passive of the product is determined. A product defined to the system in Workcube cannot be deleted. It can only be deactivated.

Inventories: Inventories and service items are recorded on the products page. In order to keep stock records of the products physically, the "Subject to Inventory" box must be ticked. This box is not selected in the service definitions.

On Production: This box should be selected for products manufactured by the company. Products whose production box is not selected cannot be processed in the production module. BOMs cannot be defined.

On Sale: Selected for the products and services sold. If this box is not selected, the product or service will not be displayed in the product lists in sales orders, invoices, and sales proposals.

Supplied: Used for purchased products and services. If this box is not checked, this product or service cannot be selected in the product lists in purchase proposals, purchase orders, and invoices.

Prototype: This box must be checked for products manufactured or sold in different configurations. For Example; If you are producing an armchair and you are going to sell this armchair with different fabric covering, different leg types, different tree species, you should tick this box for that product. Thanks to its customizable option, Workcube allows its users to produce and sell more than one variation in their BOM without opening a new product or inventory card.

  • Internet: This product must be checked if you want to create and sell an e-commerce site (B2C) on Workcube.
  • Extranet: It should be checked if you want to manage B2B sites such as dealer portal on Workcube and to display this product on that B2B portal (for example, on the order receiving screen).
  • Mixed Parcel: It is a single product formed by more than one product. E.g; It could be Computer Pack. Click for detailed information about Mixed Parcel.
  • Zero Stock: This box should be selected for the products that are to be sold even if they are not in stock. Zero stock products are not displayed in the product list when ordering. When this box is checked, the products are displayed in the list and can be ordered.
  • Limited Stock Tick this box if you want to limit stocks of products sold online. (In this case, the product cannot be sold more than the determined stock amount.)
  • Serial No: This box should be selected for products that require warranty and serial number tracking. When this box is checked, order, delivery, and warranty tracking operations can be performed via the serial number.
  • Lot No: In order to track the Lot number of the product, the "Followed" box must be ticked. If this checkbox is not selected, it will not be possible to select or define a lot number for this product on other pages that require Lot number tracking.
  • Cost: If this box is ticked, the cost of the product will be tracked in the inventory and purchase processes.
  • Quality: This box should be marked as "Following" in order to follow the quality information about the product.
  • POS Commission: This option should not be selected for products that you do not want to calculate POS commission fee for credit card sales. In this way, commission calculation can be prevented for service products that may be fixed, such as shipping costs, that do not need to be calculated, but that must be included in invoices and orders.
  • Scale: This box should be selected for products that are sold by weight. If this box is not selected, the price information of that product cannot be sent to the scale from the system.
  • Watalogy: If the "Do you want it to work integrated with Watalogy?" option is selected as "Yes" in the company flow parameters, this box will appear in the product detail. If the integrated box is selected, it will be listed in the Watalogy project being worked on and put up for sale in the marketplaces.
  • Gift Card: Gift Cards are registered in the system as products. After it is registered as a product, this box is checked, and then the Valid through the field will appear. Here, the number of days the gift card will be valid can be determined. If the date is not entered, the gift card will be valid indefinitely.

Product General Parameters

In Workcube, product parameters can be used differently for each company. To do this, first select your company in Dashboard > System > General Settings > Company Flow Parameters and select "Should the product parameter information be called up on a company-specific basis?" You need to save the option as “Yes”.

Note: If you want to keep the products separately in each company, you must make these arrangements in all companies, not in one company.

Then, when you go to the product detail, you will see the "You must save the changes in this field from the Product Parameters!"  warning. This warning now tells you to make adjustments from the Product General Parameters, not from the product detail screen.

Then open the Other > Product General Parameters page in the links at the top right of the product detail and make the necessary adjustments.

For Example; If the product registered in the system is produced in the production company and is not produced in the trading company but only sold, then the "Producing" box must be ticked by selecting the production company. In the trading company, it should not be selected.

Different from the product detail parameters, there is an "Include in XML" box on this screen. This box is used to export products. For Example; When you sell your products on e-commerce sites, you send them as code, that is, as XML.
