Foreign Exchange Buy/Sale Transaction


It is the screen where foreign exchange buying and selling transactions are made in the same branch of a bank, both in different currencies and between bank accounts in the same currencies.

Foreign Exchange Buy/Sale Transaction New Record


Let's examine the fields on the foreign exchange buying and selling transaction registration screen.

1.Section;

Transaction Type: In the Transaction type section, the "Bank Transfer" type is selected. Note: New transaction types can be added via Dashboard > Transaction Categories.

From Which Account, To Which Account: Transfers will be made between accounts, bank account selections are made.

Suggestion: The new bank account is added via ERP > Finance - Accounting > Bank > Bank Accounts. For more detailed information, you can read our article "Defining Bank Accounts".

Exit Branch Office, Deposited Branch Office: The branch of the account selected as "From which account" is selected as the exit branch. The branch of the account selected in the "Which account" section is also selected in the deposited branch section.

Project, Document No: If the project is a dependent transfer, the project selection should be made. The document number is given automatically through the system. Manual editing is possible.

Amount, Amount in Foreign Currency: The currency of the entered amount is the currency of the selected account "from which account". Warning: The system calculates the foreign currency amount at the daily rate according to the selected date, and the amount in foreign currency comes automatically. Manual adjustments can be made.

2. Section; 

When the transfer is made from the account to the account, if there is a cost or if the transfer is desired to be recorded as an expense, this is entered in the expense section. Budget categories and budget items must be defined in the system in order to be able to take action concerning the budget.

Multiple transfers can be made for the selected branch with the "Batch Transfer" button on the top menu.

Warning: Currencies of the selected banks must be the same on the batch transfer screen.

Transaction type and branch selection are made. A line is added to the basket with the plus icon. Selections are made from which account to which account. The amount is determined. If there is an expense amount for the transfer made, the expense, expense center and expense item are selected.

Documents and notes can be added with the Related Documents and Notes button on the top menu. The accounting receipt is checked with the offset receipt button. The same buttons are also available on the currency buying, selling transaction update screen.


Listing Screen


Bank transfer transactions, listing screen is accessed via ERP > Finance - Accounting > Bank > Bank Transactions. The relevant document number is entered to display the relevant transfer receipt. Or, all bank transfer receipts can be listed by selecting the transaction type Bank Transfer.
