General Usage and Basic Settings

Workcube is 100% web-based. It is used on internet browsers. The user does not need to install any application. Workcube software works like a website. Users access the application using the username and password given to them. They use it easily. Users have different authorization levels. The first user always accesses the system with the Admin-Administrator role and opens other users by making some settings and definitions for other users to access the system and accessing the system by giving authorization.

As can be seen in the picture above, the Workcube screen consists of 6 sections.

  1. Grouped Functions – Solutions/Families/Modules/Business Objects
  2. Intranet and Personalized Homepage
  3. Reports – Analytical Tools
  4. Body-Page where all Functions work
  5. Communication tools
  6. System Management and Personal Settings

Homepage

Workcube welcomes you with your special homepage. Users can access calendars, tasks, emails, orders, offers, etc. They can decide for themselves which of the content they are authorized to access within Workcube, which they will see on their homepage. In this way, they can create their own calendar and follow the information summaries in the Widget-Box on their homepage.

To access your personal homepage while in other modules or pages, you can click “Homepage-Calendar” next to the W3 logo in the upper left corner of the screen.

Access to Key Business Functions and Entitlements
Workcube business functions are listed under the Menu, depending on user authorizations.

Workcube Business functions are grouped hierarchically as follows.

> Solutions

> Business Families – Family

> Modules - Module

> Business Object - WBO

In other words, business objects create modules, modules create business families, and work families create solutions. E.g; There is a structure such as ERP (Solution) > Finance & Accounting (Business Family) > Bank (Module) > Incoming Money Transfer (Business Function).

Basically, this grouping is structured as "logic-logical". Technically, a business function can be put into another module if desired. Thanks to this feature, Workcube provides businesses or business partners that develop vertical solutions and create best practices, the opportunity to create their own menu.

These settings can be arranged only by system administrators under the section of:

Dashboard > SYSTEM > DEV TOOLS > MD

Users can access the function they need by entering the menu in line with the authorizations given to them, or they can list the business functions by searching for a keyword.

Accessing the right business functions with the right authorizations in Workcube depends on the correct setting of Menu Management and Authorization Groups.

Suggestion
Complete strategic framework studies. Especially Basic Workflow and QPIC-R canvases form the basis of an authorization of Workcube business functions. In Workcube, the user also means the employee. Employees are empowered according to their roles/positions. Whichever employee is in which role, accesses the system according to their role. Therefore, you should pay attention to organizational planning in order to use and authorize Workcube correctly.

Settings – Dashboard
When the Workcube Dashboard button is clicked, three tabs appear.

Setting: Personal settings
BPM: Business Process Management Tools
SYSTEM: System Management and General Settings

There are many links under the System Administration and General Settings tab. These tabs and links are only visible to users authorized by the Admin-Systems General Manager.
