How to create websites with protein?

If you have a Protein B2B, B2C, and Career website creation plugin that works integrated with Workcube. You can create a site with Protein by following the steps below.

Protein development interface: You can access the protein development environment by following the Add-ons > Protein > Sites tabs on Workcube.

Website Creation: Sites previously created with Protein are listed on the Sites page. In this section, desired changes can be made on the site by clicking on the previously created sites. In addition, by clicking the "+" icon, we are directed to the page where we will create a new site from this page and we are greeted by the page in the image below.

Site Definitions Fill in the Domain, Title and Detail fields under the General Definitions title in the Definitions menu. The domain address of the site we will create (For example: workcube.com ) is written in the domain space. In the Title field, the phrase that is desired to be included as the title of our site in the Browser tab is written. In the detail part, expressions suitable for the site definition can be added. Finally, the site is registered by clicking the "save" button. Then, under the General Definitions heading, it is displayed that the other options are included in the image. Domain, Title and Detail definitions are the information we have entered before. The general Meta description and keywords for the site are filled in the relevant fields. If the site is promoted on Google, the Google Analytic Code is added to the Google Analytic Code definition. In addition, company logos or specified logos are added to the Favicon and Og-Image definitions.

Language and Currency Definitions: Under the heading "Language and Currency Definitions" in the Definitions menu; Company, Language/Path/Homepage, Money, Stocks, Warehouses definitions are included. Companies managed through Workcube are listed as company definition. The choice of which of these companies our site will belong to is made. From the Language/Path/Home page definition, it is selected in which languages your system should be and which page should be the home page in the selected language. To explain with an example; If you want the site to be in Turkish, English and German languages, these languages are selected. In the pages created in the "Pages" section, the languages of the pages are selected. Let's say we have created two pages named Homepage, and Startseite. We can designate these pages as the main page by adding the User-Friendly Urls of these pages to the randomly written url parts in the Language/Path/Home page definition.

Access definition: Under the "Access" heading in the Definitions menu; Public, Career Portal, For Accounts Only, For Contacts Only options are available. What type of access is desired for the created site, that option should be selected. For example; If the company will be an official promotion site, the Public option, if it will be a human resources site, Career Portal, if it will be a site that includes B2B dealers, For Accounts Only, If it will appeal to B2C general customer group, For Contacts Only option should be selected. Member profiles defined through Workcube are listed under For Accounts Only and For Contacts Only options. Which of these member profiles will be authorized to access the site should be decided and selected.

Theme definition: Themes that exist on Protein are listed under the "Theme" heading in the Definitions menu. A theme is added to the site by choosing one of the theme options in the image. With the theme, a template for the site is created. For example; The styles defined on the theme are loaded in areas such as Header and Footer.

Security Definition: Site security can be increased with the "Plevne Was" security application offered on Workcube.

Privacy Definition: In this definition field, the "Cookies" settings of the site are made. Cookie settings must be added for each language option. "Privacy Policy" or "Enlightment text" content is prepared for the site in the Workcube Contents module, this content ID number is added to the "Enlightment text" field. Thus, the privacy principles are presented to the user in the site cookies.

Adding Layout and Template: It consists of a layered structure that we will form with protein. Layouts and Templates to be used on the pages to be created are created from the "Templates" section on the right of the page. Here, by creating a Row and Col for the Layout, "Dynamic Content Template" from the Widgets region is created by drag and drop in the Col created. By creating a Row and Col for the template, the "Dynamic Content Page" from the Widgets region is dragged and dropped in the created Col.
In this way, we define the Layouts and Templates that we will use on the pages.

In the image;

Pages to be used on our site from the "Pages" section,

The menus that will be on our site in the "Menu Definitions" section,

Layouts and Templates to be used on site pages in the "Templates" section,

fields are shown.

Creating a menu: We can create the menus that we will use on our site from the "Menu Definitions" section. A link of a created page can be added to the menu as seen in the image. With the Group feature, submenus can be created. Multiple menus can be created for different languages.

Edits on the server: It is checked whether our site, which we have registered with the domain name on Protein, is located under the Sites heading on the IIS (Internet Information Services) admin screen. It automatically creates a new site for our protein site via IIS. However, in order to define that the added site is a ColdFusion site, the ColdFusion Web Server Configuration Tool is run, and the name of the site on IIS is selected by clicking "Add" and adding the name is done.

By following these steps, a basic site that is open to development on Protein can be created.
