Use of Leave or Free Time for Overtime


It is possible for employees to use leave or free time in return for working overtime by making an equalization according to the Labor Law. Within the scope of this application, employees can request that their overtime be added to the salary or in return for free time.


Preliminary Operations: Parameters to be set for this application

  • A new category should be defined from Parameters > Permission and Excuse Categories, the "Let it be used in free time" checkbox should be checked or the "Let it be used in free time" checkbox should be checked and updated over the defined category.
  • Leave Calculation Format (Day / Min) - > Min must be selected from the leave detail page XML.

Main Operations:

In order for the Overtime Work entered to not affect the employee's payroll and to be reflected to the employee as a leave entitlement: Free Time must be selected from the Add Overtime or Update Pages.

However, the Checkbox for "Don't display in timekeeping" must be ticked. (In self-transactions, this option is not on the screen, but is automatically done in the background.)


Consecutive Operations:

From HR operations > Previous Requests and Permissions or Employee Detail Page > Leaves View page: You can view "Deserved Leave from Overtime (Free Time)", "Taken Leave from Overtime (Free Time)", "Left Leave from Overtime (Free Time)".

Deserved Free time account; It is calculated by proportioning the Overtime multiplier and the company's daily working hours.


Note: This application contains special provisions according to the Labor Law. The law recognizes overtime work exceeding 45 hours per week. On the other hand, there is a practice that the work exceeding 11 hours a day will not be included in the balancing account. Equalization is implemented by mutual agreement of the employer and employee. Workcube recommends using HR consultants and experts before putting this application into use.
