Defining Bank Accounts

You can define your bank accounts on ERP > Finance-Accounting > Bank > Bank Accounts page by adding account number, IBAN, account type, bank branch relationship, and related accounting accounts with the '+' icon.

  1. Branch Office: Performs transactions according to the selected branch office. If "Work by Branch" is selected in authorization groups, users who do not have authorization to the relevant branch cannot create records from the relevant bank account.

  2. IBAN Code: This is the field where the IBAN code is defined. It is not possible to register with invalid IBAN codes.

  3. Bank Name / Branch Office: Bank definitions that have been registered via "Banks" ( finance.list_bank_types ) and "Bank Branches" ( finance.list_bank_branch ) are listed.

  4. Account Type: Registration can be made in three different types of banks: Credited, Deferred, and Commercial.

  5. Foreign Currency Type: Selection is made in which foreign currency the relevant bank account will work. Foreign currency types defined in Parameters > Currencies are listed.

  6. Accounting Code: When the accounting transaction is made on the relevant bank account, the accounting account code to which the debit/credit record will be entered is selected. It is possible for a bank account to work with more than one currency. For this reason, it is recommended to create a separate bank account for each currency type and to define the accounting codes sequentially in the same way. For example: 102.01.01 Akbank TL account - 102.01.02 Akbank Usd Account - 102.01.03 Akbank Eur Account.

  7. Bank Order Accounting Code: It is used for records posted with the transaction categories Outgoing Bank Instruction and Incoming Bank Order. The accounting code to be added to the debit section of the incoming bank order and the credit section of the outgoing bank order is determined.

  8. Outstanding Checks Accounting Code: Accounting code is defined for checks issued using a bank account.

  9. Clearing Checks / Notes Accounting Code: Accounting code is defined for clearing checks and notes.

  10. Pledged Checks Accounting Code: It is the accounting code defined for the record to be debited on the accounting side in the Check Issue Payroll - Bank Collateral transaction.

  11. Pledged Notes Accounting Code: It is the accounting code defined for the posting to be debited on the accounting side in the Promissory Note Issue Payroll - Bank Collateral transaction.

  12. NSF Checks: It is the accounting code used for NSF checks. Checks that are kept in the portfolio on the Check List page can be defined as bad by clicking on the "Check Number".

  13. Protested Notes: It is the accounting code used for Protested Notes. Checks that are kept in the portfolio at the stage of the Notes List page can be defined as protested by clicking on the "Note Number".
