Organization Canvas

Traditionally, organization (organization); is defined as the structuring of people coming together to realize goals and objectives, around formal or informal roles and relationships, and the realization of determined actions by these structures. The understanding, which is the dominant management system in today's organizations, based on the command-control paradigm of the soldiers and perceiving business life as a mechanic, has lost its effectiveness in rapidly changing technologies and faster changing global environments. Businesses and business scientists seek and adopt more effective organizational structures that will facilitate the achievement of strategic goals. The Internet and the change it causes deal significant blows to the bureaucratic-hierarchical structures established to guarantee authority. Hierarchical rules and hierarchical structures as we know them, pyramid organizations are becoming cubic. The source of authority is now knowledge. On the other hand, with the increase in technology and communication opportunities, businesses turn people who are not on the payroll, who are not in the administrative and legal employee-employer relationship, into a part of the organization. In addition, customers have external resources that perform various business functions by taking part in the workforce, just like an employee.

The Organization Canvas prepared by Kutlu Merih and Ömer Turhan helps to understand the matrix structure and management culture of the enterprise and to design an informatics-based matrix structure. Aim; creating a favorable environment for people to use their creativity and capacity better, connecting control functions to KPIs and performing "self-control".
