Quality Control Processes

Quality control is used to mean process management to meet continuous standards. Accordingly, quality control means mastering quality by taking precautions against situations that will reduce the quality effectiveness of a process.

Quality control processes on Workcube are carried out after a certain operational process. To list these processes,

  • Purchase Delivery Note,
  • Imported Goods Entry,
  • Production Result,
  • Operations and
  • Quality control processes can be applied after service operations.

In order to be able to test a raw material entering our inventories with the delivery note and a final product resulting from production according to quality control standards, we must first define the quality definition and the required values for the quality standard on the "Quality Control Definitions" page.

1. Quality Control Definitions

As can be seen in the screenshot, the definition of quality control is made and the type of operation and the type of quality control that will be processed are selected.

In the Product Categories and Products fields, there are quality definitions defined for the Product in the "Quality Control" field of the Product detail.

That is, Material Quality test is defined in the quality definitions of the "Women's T-Shirts" product that we see in the Products field for Material Quality test. Thus, all products and product categories checked in this quality control type can be seen.

For the created quality control definition, value and unit definitions of the quality control type are made from the "Add Result" icon marked in red.

After the relevant definitions are completed, the required quality control definitions for the product should be made in the product detail.

2. Product Quality Control Definitions

The quality control types of the product should be defined through the quality control in the tab menu in the product detail. Before this process, check that the "Quality Followed" checkbox is checked in the product general parameter.

Quality control types and operation types are selected in the product detail. In transaction types, only the transaction types specified in the quality control definitions can be selected.

In the Parameters field, the specified parameters are filled automatically according to the values determined in the quality control definitions. However, if the product has a different upper and lower value than the quality control definition, it can also be determined manually in the product detail.

3. Quality Control with Production Result

After completing our quality control definitions related to the product in quality control definitions and product details, the product is sent to production via "Production Orders".

When the production of the product is completed, the production result of the production order is created.

If the "Quality Followed" parameter is checked in the product detail, the icon will appear in the Production result widget on the "Result" screen to perform the quality control process.

The icon marked in red is the "Quality Control" icon. If this icon is clicked, the "Quality Control Performance" screen opens, where the product's quality control results can be entered.

On the "Quality Control Performance" screen, after the quality processes of the product are completed, the predetermined quality standards are filled in the appropriate fields. In this way, whether the relevant product coming out of production meets the required quality standards can be defined and recorded in the result field.

As a result of a production, 50,100 or 10,000 products can be produced. The quality control results for each of these products may differ. In this case, more than one quality control result can be recorded in a production result.
For Example, It may be desirable to perform a quality control process for 100 of the sheet products with a Lot Quantity of 2000 cm. In this case, the quality result is recorded by entering the relevant quantity and result in the Quantity field. Then, different quality control results can be entered in the remaining 1800 cm sheet.

In the "Achievement Result" field, we can specify how many cm of the sheet is of low quality, how many cm of the sheet is of high quality, or can be considered as a faulty product from the production result of the 2000 cm lot. Definitions in this field are defined via "Quality Performance"(settings.add_production_quality_success).

If there are previous and recorded quality control results for the relevant production result, they can be viewed on the same page.
